User Guide - Android Factory reset

A factory reset, also known as a hard reset or master reset, is a procedure to restore the device's original system state and manufacturer settings.

If the device is not brand new, the next steps MUST be followed to ensure a successful installation and function of SmartCircle.

This procedure will remove and delete all the accounts, previous settings, and information (including images, videos, etc.) stored in the device.

If the device is already running a campaign, it will be necessary to remove SmartCircle Display first.

Steps:

1. Swipe up to open the main menu.

2. Go to Settings, then you can either:

a. Tap General management > Factory data reset.

b. Search for "Factory reset" > Factory data reset.

3. Tap Reset.

4. In case there is either information or external apps installed, tap Delete all.

This is NOT recommended, yet if the factory reset cannot be performed, proceed to do a Basic Installation. Note that the device may not properly function and may require more support in the long run.
