Features - App guard

Prevents users from accessing the device settings and the Play Store on Android devices

App guard is a feature that can be enabled on android devices with Display app to protect Settings and Play Store from being accessed. This feature should be enabled if you do not want customers to be able to access settings and make operational changes or go into the play store and download apps.

How to enable device protection (app guard)

  1. https://data.smartcircle.net/ and login with your account
  2. Select the Location tab > beside the desired location choose Location configuration 
  3. Under Fixture configuration, select Yes beside  Device protection
  4. Place check marks beside Protect “Settings” and Protect “Google Play”
  5. Scroll down and select the Submit button
  6. If you want to apply the configuration to the whole location choose:  “Clone configuration to the respective tab/mode to all fixtures within the account”
