In-store: Unable to initialize the camera

Problem:

When attempting to scan a QR tag or QR code in the Display 4 app, you see a black screen instead of the camera and receive the following error:

"Unable to initialize the camera. Please wait for 30 seconds and try again."

Solution:

  1. Check if all app updates are applied on the device and try again
  2. Restart the device and try again
  3. Factory reset the device and try again
  4. If all of the above fails, your device most likely does not support this functionality.
