App Features for Windows laptop

  • App creates an new account called SmartCircle
  • App returns on top of other screens after 1 minute in idle state by default
  • Other apps cannot be brought on top of Display app when campaign is playing except when exit to home screen is set on touch and lift
  • Unlock/disarm key combination to be used as a backup if the clicking 5 times at the bottom right corner does not work :   Ctrl + Alt + S + M
  • Wiper service :  Close all open windows, clear downloads folder,  reset desktop background to default one - right now it is the same for everyone, clear browser cache on Chrome and Microsoft Edge - when app returns to idle state
  • Updating the app remotely is possible and controlled by Sensor Media. The new version applies on restart of the app or the computer
  • Work time - the devices will turn off and on their screen following the working hours of the store
  • Wiper service - reset / move icons to their original location after device returns to idle state
  • Uninstall apps that allow it without human interaction when the device returns to idle state. Apps that require human interaction will be available to get uninstalled from the home screen when the Display app is disarmed
  • Computer restarts automatically daily at 3am;   Message:  “System will reboot to apply updates”

Security Features

  • Display app cannot be stopped/killed by end user. You must have the store PIN to be able to disarm the app
  • Control Panel is blocked
  • Log off on start menu is not available. The only way to log off is to use Ctrl + Alt + Del
  • Power button on login screen is not available
  • Windows key is blocked
  • Hardware power button is protected. The only way to turn off is to hold it for more than 10 seconds
  • Faster user switching is not available
  • Task manager is not accessible from Ctrl +Alt + Del and therefore the app cannot be killed
  • Removable storage (USB / hard drives / SD cards)  is blocked/disabled for all users
  • Change password is blocked on the SmartCircle User
  • Wifi Toggle is not accessible on Windows 10 and 11 ( hidden)
  • If computer is restarted, the account SmartCircle will be used a default and automatic login will occur
  • If user logs off and leaves the computer on the login screen, the computer will restart in 10 min and will automatically enter the SmartCircle account and start playing the campaign
